Brighton, Melbourne 1 - 0 Brighton & Hove

We flew 10,500 miles to visit Brighton Beach - but with 28 degrees and golden beaches - it wasn't quite like home!

We walked down to St Kilda today. This is a view from the pier back towards Melbourne. We even saw a little blue penguin hiding in the rocks.

First day in Melbourne

'Roy' met us at the airport and arranged the taxi to take us to our accomodation. We then went for our first 'Melbourne coffee' at Degraves Espresso Bar (*ttp://yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/?action=venue&venue_url=degraves_espresso_bar) Sat outside but weather wasn't quite up to that of the UK this week!

We are looking forward to finding our 'favourite' coffee. I think this will require some extensive research!

Our last full day in England is coming to an end! We are all packed up, ready to go and have been enjoying the heat wave. A great last memory.

Thank you to everyone for their messages of good luck and support, for the presents, meals and company. We are very lucky to have so many people wishing us well and thinking of us. Thank you.
